Orange Morphs

Orange Morphs  is a kind of African Cichlid with a personality to rival any saltwater fish. With bright orange, cyan, or albino yellow as its predominant color.

It is not only attractive, but it is also an excellent starter fish. They are semi-aggressive and not territorial, unlike community-type fishes.

They are an excellent addition to your tank if it requires a splash of color or something to brag about.

Banana Morphs  like larger bodies of water and prefer to live in deeper, rockier waters or quieter isolated areas.

Surprisingly, despite their name, the majority of Yellow Lab Cichlids are not yellow. They can grow several morphs depending on which coast of Lake Malawi they originate on, with blue being the most prevalent.

The ideal tank for the Orange Morphs must be similar to its natural habitat. The greater the size, the better. Good tank size is 40 to 50 gallons, but don’t be afraid to go bigger. 

Orange Morphs are semi-aggressive, thus they require space. To provide the illusion of greater space, add line-of-sight obstacles to prevent them from seeing the end of the tank.

Orange Morphs is more aggressive than your typical community fish, line-of-sight (Line-of-sight obstructions include a variety of rocks, actual or fake plants, and intentionally hidden crevices and spaces)barriers can also help prevent aggressive behavior; the more things in their line of sight, the more difficult it is for them to select a target.

Orange Morphs can dwell alone or in pairs. They are not territorial but can be aggressive towards fish that have a similar physique or color.

V. How to feed this species?

You should feed yellow lab cichlids tropical fish food, bloodworms, and frozen food. Orange Morphs need a balanced diet consisting of protein and vegetation. This species eats snails, small fish, bugs, bug larvae, and algae in the wild. Feed yellow lab cichlids three times daily
