Galaxy Rasbora

Galaxy Rasbora is also called Celestial Pearl Danio are both lively and calm.. The heavenly pearl danio is a danio family freshwater fish. 

Galaxy Rasbora fish have dark blue bodies covered in white or yellow spots that resemble a galaxy.

Since its discovery in 2006, the Galaxy Rasbora has been a popular tropical fish among aquarists. This fish is one of the most recent arrivals to the aquarium trade, and it has proven to be a big hit with fish keepers all over the world. 

Galaxy Rasbora fish has a magnificent color on its body, which makes it one of the most sought-after tropical fish for aquariums. Indeed, its distinctive hues are so appealing that some fish keepers were wary of it, believing that the colors were a ruse to trick the public into purchasing it. 

Surprisingly, the fish appears even more strikingly gorgeous in an aquarium with images.

Celestial pearl danios love to live in groups of ten or more. In a tank, keep more females than males since males will fight for the females.

They live in the tank’s bottom strata, where it hides among rocks and aquatic plants. During feeding, the fish migrate to the intermediate and upper strata.

II. You would love the fish because…

Galaxy Rasbora fish have narrow fusiform bodies with prominent fins. Males are thinner and brighter with deep blue bodies and pearlescent spots over the flanks. These dots are arranged in a Galaxy pattern thus the name Galaxy Rasbora.

Males have a red stripe line with a black that runs through the middle of the fish’s nearly translucent dorsal fin. These males also have red bellies and the dominant ones have a red stripe on their bodies.

Females Galaxy Rasbora on the other hand is not as brightly colored as the males. Instead of red dorsal pelvic and caudal fins, these fins are orange and the anal is translucent. Also, some female fish have orange bellies whilst others have golden. When they are ready to spawn, the females develop a black spot in front of their caudal fin and become plumper.

Danios, Pygmy hatchet fish, Guppies, Molly fish, Cherry shrimp, Amano shrimp, Killifish, Regular, ember, cardinal, or green tetras Honey or sparkling gourami, Cory catfish, Endler’s livebearer, Kuhli loaches, and Snails.

V. How to feed this species?

They consume anything from algae to prawns. You can give them micro-worms, brine shrimp, and Daphnia, which are all live meals. Small broken fish flakes, tetra micro granules, and live Tubifex are other important sources of nutrition.
