Description

The Panda Corydoras Long Fin, also known as Corydoras panda (long fin variant), is a striking and sought-after variety of the popular freshwater catfish species, Corydoras panda.

The Panda Corydoras Long Fin showcases a captivating color pattern. Its body is predominantly white or light cream-colored, with distinct black patches resembling the markings of a giant panda. The black patches typically cover the eyes, the dorsal area, and parts of the body, creating a beautiful contrast against the light background color.

II. You would love the fish because…

What sets the Panda Corydoras Long Fin apart is its elongated and flowing fins compared to the regular Panda Corydoras. The dorsal fin, pelvic fins, and caudal fin (tail) are extended, giving the fish an elegant and graceful appearance.

The Panda Corydoras Long Fin grows to a small size, reaching approximately 2 to 2.5 inches (5 to 6.5 centimeters) in length. It has a compact and rounded body shape, characteristic of Corydoras catfish species.

Similar to other Corydoras species, the Panda Corydoras Long Fin is peaceful and social. It thrives in groups and prefers to be kept with other peaceful fish species. These catfish are bottom-dwellers, spending much of their time scavenging the aquarium substrate for food.

The Panda Corydoras Long Fin, like the regular Panda Corydoras, is native to the Amazon River basin in South America. They inhabit slow-moving rivers, streams, and tributaries with sandy or muddy bottoms. To replicate their natural habitat, provide a well-maintained aquarium with soft substrate and ample hiding spots.

The Panda Corydoras Long Fin requires similar care to other Corydoras species. They prefer a well-filtered aquarium with stable water conditions. Maintain the water temperature between 72-78°F (22-26°C) and provide a soft substrate, as their barbels can be sensitive. Offer a varied diet of sinking pellets, flakes, and small live or frozen foods to ensure their nutritional needs are met.
