This undemanding aquatic plant originates from South-East Asia and is an excellent alternative to more light-demanding plants such as Cabomba. It can grow rapidly, reaching around 40 cm in height, making it particularly useful as a background plant.

Limnophila sessiliflora looks especially impressive when planted in groups. Regular trimming helps maintain a compact, bushy appearance, while cut stems can be replanted to create new growth. Under good conditions, the plant can also produce runners and spread along the substrate.
