Description
Bacopa sp. Madagascariensis is a species of aquatic or semi-aquatic plant native to Madagascar. It is commonly used in aquariums and planted tanks due to its vibrant green leaves and adaptability to submerged and emersed growth.

Small, round to oval leaves arranged in opposite pairs along the stem.

Bright green, providing a fresh look to aquascapes.

Creeping or upright stem plant, depending on conditions.

Can grow to varying lengths but generally stays manageable in an aquarium.

Care Requirements

  • Light: Medium to high light for optimal growth.
  • Temperature: Thrives in water temperatures of 22–28°C (72–82°F).
  • pH: Prefers slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 6.5–7.5).
  • Nutrients: Requires a nutrient-rich substrate and benefits from CO₂ supplementation and fertilization.
  • Water Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water

Propagation

  • Propagates through stem cuttings.
  • Simply cut a healthy stem section and plant it in the substrate. It will root and grow into a new plant.
