Super Red Dragon (SRD) Flowerhorn is undoubtedly one of the first decorative fishes that comes to mind. The Flowerhorn cichlid was developed in Malaysia in the mid-1990s. It was a hybrid fish that grew in popularity over time. The black markings that run along its body’s lateral lines gave it the name flower.’ Along with that, the term ‘horn’ is used to describe the nuchal hump on the head of the adult fish. “Warships” is another name for flowerhorns.

The fish’s name derives from its brilliant red color. It is a natural breed native to Thailand, but it has been seen in other countries, including Indonesia. The Super Red dragon has a prominent nuchal hump that gives it an exceptional appearance.

Males are typically larger than the female flowerhorns and will weigh a bit more too.

The eyes are red and hollow, whereas the teeth are tiny and sharp. The lower lip protrudes, and there’s a Churchillian fold beneath the chin.

Both anal and dorsal fins have a long, braid-like ending. Also, the tail is almost round.

And due to their stocky body, they swim pretty slowly compared to smaller fish.
