Starlight Pleco – L183 – 1 inch

Deep black or dark brown body speckled with small white or yellow dots, resembling stars in the night sky.

Its dorsal and caudal fins often feature a distinctive white trim.

Grows to about 5–6 inches (13–15 cm) in length when fully mature.

Native to the Rio Xingu and other parts of the Amazon basin in South America.

Requires a minimum tank size of 30 gallons (113 liters) for juveniles, but larger tanks are better for adults.

Generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards other plecos.

Mostly nocturnal, becoming more active during the night.
