Grows to about 5–6 inches (13–15 cm) in length when fully mature.
Native to the Rio Xingu and other parts of the Amazon basin in South America.
Requires a minimum tank size of 30 gallons (113 liters) for juveniles, but larger tanks are better for adults.
Generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards other plecos.
