Julidochromis Marlieri is one of numerous Julidochromis species, can be found in the Rift Lakes and certain East African rivers.
Julidochromis Marlieri is named after its discoverer, Belgian naturalist and ichthyologist Jean Jacques Marlier (1942-2003), who spent much of his time investigating freshwater fish in Africa and Madagascar.

Julidochromis Marlieri cichlid is an excellent first fish for anyone looking for a low-maintenance African cichlid. Because these fish are less violent than other African cichlids, they can be kept with less aggressive species.
It can be housed alongside another compatible Julie or other calm fish species if a larger tank is available.

You should not overfeed your fish; many of them don’t need to be fed more than twice per day.
