Rotala Nanjean TC IC400

Rotala Nanjean has fine leaves and a very bushy growth habit. It originates from Taiwan, where it has only been discovered in a single spot close to Nanjenshan.

It has linear leaves that are millimeters thick and look a lot like Rotala wallichii, but unlike the latter, its leaves are light green and sometimes have reddish shoot tips.

Under a lot of light, the overhanging parallel shoots will form. It was wrongly called “Mayaca sellowiana”, in spite of the fact that there is no association with this Mayaca species. It may resemble it in appearance, but they are not related.

When the environment is favorable, the plant develops into a broad bush. Trimming can greatly enhance the bushy growth habit. Rotala sp. ” Nanjenshan” thrives in conditions of moderate light and CO2 addition.

• Rotala is a fast-growing plant that can be clipped to keep it from getting overgrown.
• The temperature of aquarium water should be between 62 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
