Marble Lancer Catfish / Harlequin Lancer Catfish:Â The medium-sized Black Lancer Catfish (Bagrichthys macracanthus) is a native to Indonesia species.
It is distinguished by the thin white horizontal stripe that runs down its side and its overall jet-black coloration.
They grow to a normal size of up to 8-9 inches (20-23 cm), it isn’t little by aquarium principles, however, it keeps a reasonable size for the enormous aquarium and it is a great tankmate for most other fish that are too huge to be in any way thought about prey.
Although it can be territorial toward other bottom dwellers, the Black Lancer Catfish is generally peaceful.
Bullying other males or single females is common for dominant males. It needs many places to hide, like pipes, driftwood, or other crevices. Although it will eat anything small enough to fit in its mouth, this fish is not territorial or aggressive with most other fish, so it should not be kept with very small fish or invertebrates.
Plants won’t be bothered by it. Although it is not particularly sensitive, it will deteriorate as a result of poor water quality and care, just like many scaleless fish.
I. Size

- Maximum Adult Size: 12 inches

II. You would love the fish because…
Black Lancer CatFish is a truly cool, lovely Bagrid catfish. They have a striking stripe running down the body, they resemble a Jaguar Cat.
They are not exactly outgoing fish and will spend a lot of time hiding until they feel at home in the tank.
They frequently hide upside down and in plain sight. They eat anything that fits in their mouths, but they don’t have very big mouths. I wouldn’t keep them in a shoal of rasboras for long, but most fair-sized cichlids, larger barbs, big tetras, rainbows, etc., will work for them. things that the majority of you keep with cichlids anyway.
