The Lemonfin or Yellowtail Tinfoil Barb is a medium-sized, calm cyprinid that may be found in Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia. In the wild, it normally lives in loose schools. Big individuals make for a spectacular spectacle in large mixed-species aquariums.

A type of cyprinid fish also goes by the names lemon barb and golden belly barb. It is indigenous to the rivers of Mainland Southeast Asia, specifically the Mae Klong, Mekong, Chao Phraya, Tapi, and Pahang. It is a schooling fish that lives in mid-water and grows up to 18 inches long. It features stunning glossy metallic scales in the form of diamonds. The fins turn bright yellow, and the body takes on a yellowish sheen.
