Holey Rock - Brown
Description
Why Choose Hole Rock for Aquascaping?
1. Very lightweight
Unlike regular stones, hole rock is porous and light. This makes it easy to build tall scapes without too much weight on the tank glass.
2. Many holes = Great for attaching plants
Anubias, Bucephalandra, Moss, Ferns can easily anchor in the holes. No need for glue sometimes.
3. Safe & inert for aquariums
It does not alter pH, so it’s safe for planted tanks, shrimp tanks, and fish-only tanks.
4. Porous = houses beneficial bacteria
The holes act like biological filter media. This improves water quality and keeps ammonia/nitrite stable.
5. Natural volcanic look
It gives a very realistic natural-scape feel — especially for Iwagumi, jungle, or canyon-style designs.
6. Easy to stack and shape
Because of the holes and rough surface, rocks grip each other well and don’t slip.
7. Budget-friendly
Compared to Seiryu, Dragon Stone, Oko, etc., hole rock is often cheaper for large scapes.
