Gold Balloon Ram

Gold Balloon Ram is a vibrant dwarf cichlid from South America. In captivity, the gold ram can live up to five years at a length of three inches.

The gold ram may only require a 20-gallon aquarium as an individual. The gold ram should be kept in at least 29 gallons each as a pair.

The gold ram in the aquarium, like most ram cichlid species, has a lifespan of three years on average, provided that the conditions in the tank are suitable and optimally maintained. They have a maximum lifespan of four years.

Notwithstanding, the equivalent can’t be said for the species in nature. They rarely reach their full potential in the wild, not only because of predators. Numerous diseases linked to water pollution are a major factor in their short lifespans in the wild.

Gold Ram Cichlid Aggression Gold rams are a species that live in relative peace. They are widely regarded as the best option for a tranquil community tank.

However, when other members of the same species or smaller tankmates attempt to enter the No entry area, they exhibit territorial aggression.

They usually split up when they reach maturity, so they should be purchased in groups of six juveniles. If the pair is going to mate, they should separate.

The fish is golden or yellow in color overall, and the eyes on the front of the head are light shades of orange or red, as the name suggests.

The sparkling blue spots that run along the iridescent fins and lower body of the Gold Ram Cichlid make them stand out more. They all have spiny rays and bristly fins.

The only advantage these small fish have over predators is their sharp, spiky fins, which keep them at a distance.
