Datnioides microlepis ( Indonesian tigerfish): A species of freshwater fish native to the Malay Peninsula and Indonesia is called the Indonesian tiger datnoid, often known as the Indo datnoid or Indonesian tiger fish (Sumatra and Kalimantan).
The Indo Tiger Datnoid’s bars can exhibit a broad range of patterns. Three bars, four bars, and split bars will all be used in combination. They can also order mixed bars, which are combinations of different fish sizes.
II. You would love the fish because…
The Indo Datnoid, also known as the Indo Tigerfish (IT), can be found in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, and possibly even parts of East Java. They can be found in a variety of habitats in the wild, but they are most commonly found in warm, slow-moving sections of rivers or lakes close to overhanging vegetation.
As an ambush predator, they typically remain motionless in the water while waiting for smaller fish or invertebrates to pass. With quick reflexes and a large, protruding jaw, they literally inhale their prey. Because they are sensitive to water quality and require well-oxygenated water in the aquarium, regular water changes are essential for their survival.
It is important to choose your tankmates carefully because they can eat surprising-sized fish and because other fish that are more aggressive or very active will likely stress them out and may cause their distinctive bar pattern to fade.
III. Is this fish species peaceful or hostile?
Indo Tiger Datnoids are often calm and get along with a lot of different species.

V. How to feed this species?
Carnivores predominate among Indonesian Tiger Fish. They are a predator that mostly consumes small fish, shrimp, crabs, worms, and insect larvae in the wild. In the aquarium, smaller fish make up the majority of their diet, though they will occasionally be persuaded to eat shrimp, worms, or insects.
