Description
Brilliant Neon Tetra or Diamond Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon innesi sp.)
Brilliant Diamond Neon Tetra comes from the reasonable waters of South America. Through the process of selective breeding, Brilliant Neon Tetra or Diamond Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon innesi sp.) variety was created. This variety of Neon has a metallic "diamond" patch on its back between the eyes and dorsal fin.
This variety of neon can be identified by the bright blue stripe, offset by red, that runs horizontally down the side of its body. ?In at least a 10-gallon aquarium, plants, rocks, and some driftwood should be used to give the Diamond Head Neon Tetra hiding places and security.
These are mid-level swimming fish, so taller plants should be used. They require a steady slightly acidic pH and constant temperature.
The female lays a relatively small number of eggs in the aquarium, which hatch approximately 24 hours after fertilization. If there are a lot of Diamond Head Neon Tetras, this can happen frequently. To abstain from losing the fry, a different "reproducing tank" ought to be utilized.
The Diamond Head Neon Tetra will acknowledge numerous little food sources, for example, brackish water shrimp or daphnia, freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex, miniature pellet food, and an excellent chip food.
