Blue Green Lobster – Marine

The Blue Green Lobster, often referred to in the aquarium trade as the Electric Blue Crayfish or Blue Lobster (Procambarus alleni), is a stunning freshwater crustacean that adds a bold splash of color and personality to any tank.

Boasts vibrant shades of blue to turquoise-green, making it look like a mini lobster glowing underwater.

Some variations lean more blue or green depending on genetics and lighting.

Active, curious, and full of attitude!

Loves to dig, rearrange decor, and explore every corner of the tank.

Can be semi-aggressive—best housed alone or with fast-swimming, non-bottom-dwelling tankmates.

Freshwater, ideally 20–30 gallons.

Prefers hiding spots like caves or driftwood.

Clean, well-filtered water is a must: temp 68–75°F, pH 6.5–8.0.

Omnivorous: will eat sinking pellets, algae wafers, veggies, and protein-based foods.

May eat smaller fish or snails if hungry—watch your tank setup!

Like all crayfish, it molts as it grows—becomes vulnerable for a few days, so extra hiding spots are essential during this phase.
