Black Oranda Gold Fish

Oranda Gold Fish one of the most well-liked kinds of goldfish on the planet is the fancy Oranda goldfish, Carassius auratus auratus!

These goldfish are referred to as Oranda Shishigashiri in Japan. Azuma Nishiki is a version in calico as well. Orandas, also known as Tiger goldfish or Tigerheads, are prized possessions of breeders and collectors all over Asia.

Orandas come in a variety of hues, including blue, black, red and white, calico, and red.

The Redcap Oranda is one of the most sought-after color morphs. It is completely silvery-white with the exception of a bright cherry-red hood that looks like a cap.

II. You would love the fish because…

They have a wen, a fleshy growth on the top of an oranda’s head, and this sets them apart. The wen doesn’t show up until the fish is about three to four months old. After about one to two years, the wen fully forms, and it continues to grow until the fish is about two to three years old.

Orandas have large, round, metallic, or matte scales covering their egg-shaped bodies.

When the fish is still in the water, its split, long caudal fin creates a stunning floating fan shape. As a result, these fish are referred to as “flowers of the water” in China. The fish usually has paired other fins, creating an enchanting symmetrical appearance.

V. How to feed this species?

Oranda Gold Fish have a hearty and ravenous appetite, despite their fragile condition. They should only be fed a maximum of twice a day, although these omnivores will eat at any time of the day and in any quantities. Live, frozen, freeze-dried, flake, and pellet versions are all favorites.
