Anubias barteri var. nana is a tiny, beautiful plant that grows well in all conditions. It comes from Cameroon and grows to a height of 5-10 cm. The rhizome will reach a length of 10-15 cm or more. It grows slowly and the leaves last for several years, allowing slow-growing algae to establish themselves.
Planting a Anubias barteri var. Nana – MK050 on a stone or tree root yields the best results. A fishing line can be used to hold the plant in place until it takes root. The rhizome should not be covered if planted on the bottom since it will decay. It blooms frequently when submerged in water. Herbivorous fish do not eat it.
Care Tips
- It needs trimming now and then.
- It is a slow-growing species making it one of the easiest plants to maintain.
