ADA Moss Bag – ‘Taxiphyllum barberi Java Moss’ with Magic Moss Cotton.
This little moss bag has both the Moss and Moss Cotton to help you get a perfect setup.
The bag has just enough Taxiphyllum barbieri and moss cotton and is ready to use for a layout.
It can be utilized as a hideout for fish or a spawning bed to Kill fish if you just loosen it up a little and put it into a small aquarium.
The most popular aquarium moss is Taxiphyllum barbieri. For a long time, it was mistaken for Vesicularia dubyana, hence it is called “Java moss” and “Bogor moss.” It has only been found in nature in Vietnam.
This tropical water moss produces long, irregularly branched shoots that cling well to a variety of surfaces, making it an excellent moss for highlighting the hardscape or concealing technological equipment in the tank.
It branches more in brighter lighting, whereas under low light, its shoots become slender, thread-like, and poorly ramified. It grows quickly for moss, with a monthly growth rate of up to 3 – 4 cm.
Ways to use
- Put a thin layer of moss on driftwood and wind using the moss cotton.
- You can do the same on a stone as well.
- Use Terra tapa (sold separately) and tie on driftwood and immerse in water
Care tips
- Needs constant moisture, and it will quickly dry out in an arid environment
- Make sure to keep enough light on your newly planted cutting so that it grows quickly. Once the new plant has grown sufficiently, simply snip it off near its base to separate it from its mother plant and you’re done!
