Riccia Fluitans - IC040

Riccia fluitans is a lovely floating liverwort (also known as crystalwort) that may be found all around the world. This floating moss was popularised as an aquarium plant by Takashi Amano.

Cotton thread or net is typically used to tie it to rocks or driftwood, and it is quickly absorbed by new growth. This plant can also be used as a ground cover, forming a wonderful bright green lawn quickly. Riccia can be used as a floating plant to provide refuge for fry or shrimp. This plant's adaptability, combined with its ease of growth, makes it a favorite among enthusiasts.

Maintain compact growth by trimming the light green branches with scissors every so often. CO₂ supplementation significantly increases growth.
