Description
Red Frontosa is Taiwan's line-bred Cichlid.
This Red Frontosa Cichlid was line-bred from Cyphotilapia frontosa from Burundi or Cyphotilapia frontosa species "North" based on shape and stripes.
This frontosa has reddish-brown stripes rather of black stripes because of an unorganised phenotypic in the DNA.
Red Frontosa can reach a maximum length of 33 cm (1.1 ft) in the wild. Even confined animals could reach this big.
It features distinctive markings, including trailing fins that are a particular shade of blue and a body and head that are decorated with five to seven vertical bars.
Additionally, the species grows a nuchal hump, which is more obvious in older specimens.
Although the hump is occasionally more noticeable in males, C. frontosa is a sexually monomorphic species.
These fish have a 25-year lifespan!

V. How to feed this species?
Frontosa Burundi are carnivorus. In general, the Frontosa Cichlid will consume any type of live food.
It is a slow feeder in the aquarium and will consume pellets as well as a range of meaty items such as feeder fish, worms, and crustaceans such as mysis, shrimp, and krill. Frozen foods, such as brine shrimp, are also considered a good source of protein.
It is recommended that you should not feed live feeder fish owing to the possibility of infections and pathogens being passed on to your fish. Vitamins and additives given to fish meals help all species. Feed 2 to 5 smaller quantities of meals every day.
