Description
Peppered Corydoras has a distinctive peppered or mottled appearance. Its body is typically covered with small black spots or speckles, which are scattered across a pale or light gray base color. This speckled pattern gives them their common name.
Peppered Corydoras are relatively small, typically growing to around 2 to 2.5 inches (5 to 6.5 centimeters) in length. They have a compact and somewhat rounded body shape with a downward-facing mouth that is characteristic of catfish species.
The Peppered Corydoras has several pairs of barbels, which are sensitive sensory organs located around its mouth. These barbels assist the fish in locating food on the substrate.
