Description

Koi Angel Big: The Koi Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare), is an unbelievable variation that normally shows dark, white, and gold-orange shading.

When compared to the other members of the cichlid family, this shoaling cichlid is relatively tranquil. In addition, unlike most other cichlids, it has a tall, thin body.

Although the Koi Angelfish is native to a number of river systems in Northern South America, the majority of aquarium specimens have been tank-raised for generations.

The Koi Angelfish will thrive in an aquarium with driftwood, rock, or other plant life and a gentle flow of water. This fish doesn't hide too much, but because of its shape and a strong preference for plant cover, it probably won't hide in rock caves or other similar structures.

As long as it has plenty of room, the Koi Angelfish generally gets along with other peaceful fish.Typically, territoriality is at its highest point during spawning.

The Koi Angelfish should not be kept with dwarf shrimp or other small, delicate invertebrates. However, larger, more durable shrimp and snails might make good tankmates in an aquarium that is large enough.Unless the aquarium is very large, tankmates of other species should be kept to a minimum or avoided entirely if spawning is desired.

The unfussy Koi Angelfish is easy to feed. All types of high-quality foods—live, frozen, and dry—will be readily accepted.A diet of quality and variety is essential for this fish's optimal health and color retention.

II. You would love the fish because…

The Koi Angelfish is a kind of angelfish that has been reared for it's mottled high contrast hue.On the head, some may have gold markings.Underneath the eyes, young specimens may have a red hue that fades with age.Like Koi, these angelfish are stunning, and each one will be unique in color.
It prefers soft, slightly acidic water in a well-planted aquarium of at least 30 gallons. The aquarium can be filled with rocks and driftwood, but there is still plenty of room for swimming.
When attempting to breed Koi Angelfish, it is best to keep several angels in the same aquarium until they mate.A flat surface must be provided so that the eggs can be laid once a pair has formed. In an area with moderate water flow, a slate, large plant leaf, or even flowerpot should be positioned at an angle of about 30 degrees.

III. Is this fish species peaceful or hostile?
