Horn Nerite Snail

The Horn Nerite Snail is a peaceful freshwater aquarium inhabitant and a useful addition to planted tanks and community aquariums. Its distinctive shell features small horn-like projections that give it a unique appearance.

These snails are particularly valued for their ability to graze on algae growing on aquarium glass, rocks, driftwood and other hard surfaces. They are generally peaceful and can be kept with compatible community fish, shrimp and other peaceful aquarium inhabitants.

Horn Nerite Snails are also suitable for planted aquariums as they primarily feed on algae and do not normally damage healthy aquarium plants.
