Coral Red Platy
Description
Red Coral Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus) is a platy livebearer with an extra tiny genetic mutation. Its bright, uniform red-orange color makes it a very attractive aquarium fish.
Red Coral Platy is a calm, undemanding fish that will thrive in most aquariums, particularly planted aquariums.
The Red Coral Platy gets along with most other peaceful aquarium fish. Because of its small size, it might perhaps be housed with adult dwarf shrimp, but caution is advised. Otherwise, it is safe with tranquil freshwater invertebrates.
This fish is not picky and will consume a variety of high-quality dry foods, however, they should be supplemented with a variety of frozen foods.
It will primarily inhabit the middle and top sections of the aquarium, and it can jump out of the water, which is extremely useful when acclimating to a new tank. As a result, a sturdy cover is highly suggested to prevent this fish from jumping out.
