Albino Bichir
Description
The Albino Bichir, also known as the Albino Senegal Bichir or Albino Dinosaur Bichir, is a fascinating prehistoric-looking freshwater fish prized for its elongated body, creamy-white coloration and distinctive finlets along its back.
A peaceful but predatory species, the Albino Bichir is best kept with similarly sized fish that are too large to be considered prey. It is primarily a bottom-dweller and spends much of its time exploring the aquarium floor.
Like other bichirs, it has a primitive lung-like organ and can breathe atmospheric air, so access to the water surface is important. A secure aquarium lid is strongly recommended, as bichirs are excellent escape artists.

Care Requirements
Provide a spacious aquarium with plenty of floor space, hiding places and smooth substrate. Driftwood, caves and other aquarium-safe décor can help create a comfortable environment.
Feed a varied carnivorous diet such as sinking carnivore pellets, prawns, earthworms and other suitable meaty foods. Avoid housing them with very small fish or shrimp, as these may be eaten.
Important: Keep the aquarium securely covered and leave enough space between the water surface and lid for the fish to access atmospheric air.
